htcd Sunday Gatherings

Most people’s first experience of our church is at one of our four Sunday Gatherings. In each one, our aim is to provide an opportunity for everyone to have an encounter with the living God through worship, teaching and ministry.

Please note that during the summer (from 1st August to 5th September), our service pattern is as follows:

10 am Morning Worship (with children's activities)
4 pm Afternoon Worship (a quieter, more traditional service)
7 pm Evening Worship, St Matt's

Our normal Sunday service pattern resumes on Sunday

12th September:

Morning worship

9.00 am & 11.00 am – a lively, contemporary service, led by a band, with an emphasis on vibrant worship, bible teaching & the opportunity for God to meet with us as individuals. Both services have the same band & preacher. There is provision for children at 9 and 11 am and provision for young people at 11 am.

Afternoon worship

4.00 pm – a quieter service with a more traditional feel, the best of our Anglican heritage, hymns old and new, offering a sanctuary in a busy world, & giving space for personal reflection & time to meet friends old and new. Tea served each week.

Evening worship

7.00 pm – similar in style to 9 and 11 am, but without children's groups, and with more time & space for worship, teaching & Holy Spirit ministry. Please note that we meet at St Matthew's Widcombe (bottom of Widcombe Hill - free parking at Prior Park Garden Centre).
