Genesis Sunday Lunch

Genesis Trust – serving the homeless

The Genesis Trust was founded several years ago by Christians from a number of churches in Bath, and is now the largest single agency seeking to alleviate the desperate problems of those who live rough on our streets.
Alongside almost every other church in Bath, we partner the Genesis Trust in this ministry, helping to staff the Sunday Lunch ministry on one Sunday in  every eight.

Location:  Nexus Methodist Church, London Road, Bath 



 

 

Serving Opportunities


Buying food items on the Friday or Saturday


Intercessory praying during the day  (at home or at the session)


(We hope one day to be able to offer prayer to the clients also.)



Shift 1 :  11.00–13.30
     

Setting up (tables, place settings, tea/coffee)
     
Preparing and cooking food
     
Start serving lunch



Shift 2 :  12.30–15.15
     

Serving lunch
     
Talking to clients
     
Serving tea and coffee
     
Clearing plates
     
Washing up (catering dishwasher!)

Shift 3 :  14.45 –17.15
     

Serving sandwiches
     
Talking to clients
     
Serving tea and coffee
     
Finish washing up
     
Clear away
