Newcomers Summer 2010

We love to welcome new people to htcd! It’s a fairly large church, and Sunday mornings aren’t always the easiest times to meet people and find out what really makes this church family tick. So, we invite you to join with other newcomers in a term-long programme with two simple aims

· to make new friends

· to learn about church family life at htcd (we do this by a mixture of input from church leaders and questions from you)

Each term is slightly different, but normally begins with half a term with Paul & Jackie in their home. This part of the programme is focused on getting to know one another and asking all those questions which buzz around when you join a new church. Then, after half term, James & Fara take over and begin to explore some of the things we believe God wants to do to enable us to be the people he designed us to be. Richard and Janet Beattie, who co-lead the Programme with us, remain a constant feature throughout!

To enable as many people as possible to attend, we run the first half of the programme on Wednesday evenings, and the second half on Thursdays. You can join in at any stage, and catch up with anything you missed the following term if you want.

*Please note that the opening two evenings are open to the whole church family, but we do encourage newcomers to come along, however well they know their bibles!
